Position Title: CLAS Coordinator
Position Accountable To: Director of Financial Assistance
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Package CLAS students with all federal, State, and institutional aid, notify students if additional information or documentation is needed for processing of aid, coordinate work study program, present financial aid information to prospective students and families, and review reports and update records.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Package financial aid for Fayette campus students
Verification of student eligibility
Correspond with students and parents (e-mail, phone, mail, etc.) regarding paperwork
Coordinate work study program – determine student eligibility
Assist the Director in conducting financial aid presentations to prospective students and families
Review daily reports and make timely updates
Coordinate and document and scholarship updates for varsity athletics
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent and some college required.
1-3 years of financial aid or higher education administrative experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extended periods of sedentary activity and long periods of exposure to computer monitors. May occasionally require walking or extended phone use.
OTHER INFORMATION AND ATTRIBUTES:
Typical office setting. Occasional weekend or evenings for special student events.
